Less of Us ~ The historical and ongoing errors of The Limits to Growth

The back cover copy of the celebrated book, The Limits to Growth, by Donella H. Meadows, et al. begins as follows:

When each of us decides to buy something, we first consider the price. Yet society at large has long bought the idea of continual growth in population and production without adding up the final reckoning.

"The final reckoning" sounds a little terrifying, doesn't it? The Christian often thinks of "the final reckoning" as the Last Judgment: that moment when the human soul stands alone before Christ, the Just Judge. All his faith, thoughts, and deeds are weighed in the balance at that instant, and the final eternal destination of his soul is determined. But this is not the kind of reckoning Ms. Meadows and her co-authors are considering. Good materialists that they are, theirs is a much less metaphysical kind of reckoning.

The copy continues:

Now a team of MIT scientists, with the aid of a giant computer, has completed a study of the future if present growth continues. Their inescapable conclusions are beyond anyone's grimmest fears. Possibly within as little as 70 years, our social and economic system will collapse unless drastic changes are made very soon.

Again, terrifying, right?

Can you guess when The Limits to Growth was written?

Answer: 1972.

The phrase "with the aid of a giant computer" should have been the give away.

This book was one of of a series of very highly touted and extensively promoted works, like Paul Erlich's Population Bomb, that predicted that humanity was only a few scant decades away from total annihilation unless immediate, drastic changes were made to our economic and social systems.

Does that sound at all familiar? If you've been reading this blog semi-regularly, it should.

The same class of literary, scientific, corporate, and cultural anointed ones are saying the same things today that they did in 1972, but with extended time frames, of course. I guess the human race has been given an extension for good behavior—another 20 years before the damage we are doing becomes irreversible; another 50 years before complete and total destruction is assured. Conveniently, those spaces of decades are beyond the frame of most people's memories and lives. So the expounders of catastrophism are rarely, if ever, called to account for their errors.

Among the anointed class and their followers, catastrophism is perpetually popular. Prophets of Doom are never without an audience.

Now consider the types of immediate changes that are commonly demanded by the high priests of catastrophism if we are to avoid the inevitable materialist apocalypse. In The Limits to Growth, the solution is the attainment of "planetary equilibrium." This is to be brought about by reducing industrial output, reducing demand for raw materials, and other strategic reductions both numerous and varied. But all of these solutions are predicated upon the reduction of one particular resource which, if not reduced, will scotch the whole deal:

The number of human beings.

We are the problem. The ultimate solution is: less of us.

Note that the solution is never less of the anointed ones.

This final solution has been spoken sotto voce by the anointed ones for decades now. Recall the Georgia Guidestones monument which stood in Elbert County, Georgia. The very first precept carved into this enigmatic monument urged mankind to "Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature."

Of course, that would require the reduction of 95% of the Earth's current population.

Even if the Georgia Guidestones were blasted to pieces by a vandal in 2022, this extreme reductionist concept has not disappeared—far from it. If you look carefully at the hottest of hot button issues being pushed loudly and incessantly by the wise sages in Brussels and northern Virginia even to this day, every one of them has the ultimate side effect of — less of us. For example:

  • Climate change: The entire climate change theory begins and ends with the thesis that humanity is a scourge on the planet, and ultimately the only way to save the oceans, the rain forests, the prairies, wolves, owls, ocean sunfish, caracals, skinks, and bird-eating spiders is — less of us.

  • The rainbow agenda is predicated upon the idea that sterile sex acts are the moral equivalent of the procreative act between husband and wife. If you have ever wondered why such unnatural acts are pushed with such unrelenting ferocity even upon the youngest of children in schools, here is your answer. Such acts, if practiced widely and exclusively, can not result in more of us.

  • The unending push for universal contraception and abortion on demand without limits results in much less of us. Abortion alone has resulted in over 60 million less of us since The Limits to Growth was written.

  • The ongoing fanatical campaign to mandate that children receive as many vaccines as early as possible seems to run contrary to this thesis. It also blatantly contradicts the perennial slogan of the pro-abortion movement: "My body, my choice." On the surface, vaccination campaigns which can save millions from potentially deadly viruses seem like they would work against the goals of The Limits to Growth. And indeed, prior the the 1970s, that may have been the case. But within the past 40 years, the number of vaccines mandated or pushed by government, medical, educational and cultural orgs has exploded while the overall health of Americans has progressively declined. Add to this occasional slips by population control obsessives like Bill Gates who said that if we do a really good job on vaccines, we could reduce population growth by 10-15%, and recent scholarship pointing to higher miscarriage rates associated with the COVID vaccine (here and here), and suddenly the unremitting vaccination efforts morph into yet another path to making sure there will be less of us.

  • Trans-kids. Perhaps the most lunatic obsession of the political and cultural anointed ones over the past decade has been the push to make the medically-assisted destruction of one's genitals into a childhood fad. If you're following me on the above points, then the rationale behind the spread of this social virus should be obvious: if you make yourself into a eunuch or otherwise sterilize yourself as a child, you can't make more of you. And even if you come to your senses later in life, it will be too late.

  • Finally, there is euthanasia which is being embraced throughout the West at a depressingly rapid rate. Touting the practice as a voluntary end to suffering, the proponents encourage the elderly and disabled not to be a burden on their families. It's worth pointing out that the burden, such as it is, would be much more easily handled if parents had more than zero or one children, and said children had more than zero or one grandchildren. In Canada alone, which established euthanasia under the MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) program in 2016, nearly 100,000 Canadians have been put down—over 5% of all deaths in that God-forsaken realm which is doing an excellent job making sure there will be less of them to burden their burgeoning population of newcomers.

There have been a few pockets of resistance to the mindset promoted and embraced by the authors of The Limits to Growth and their ilk.

The Catholic Church took the lead in opposing this demand for childless sterility early on with the publication of Humanae Vitae in 1968, a truly prescient document that was released to much chagrin four years before The Limits to Growth was published. The Church's effort seemed to thrive for the next several decades, but has lost steam over the past 15 years. This is thanks in large part to a Vatican that can't get out of its own way when it comes to promoting the Culture of Life. Today, Catholics are faced with a situation where even the Pontifical Academy for Life, established by Pope Saint John Paul II, features fellows who publicly dissent on contraception, abortion and other long-established Church teachings on sexual ethics. Until prelates rise to leadership who are willing to promote actively the Church's perpetual teachings on these questions, and purge our institutions of the "less of us" mentality, the Catholic Church will remain on the sidelines at best.

While all this reductionist navel-gazing is going on in the West, the Islamic world has largely rejected this approach, and the results over the past 100 years are stunning. As one example, Turkey's authoritarian president Erdogan regularly calls out contraception as the equivalent of treason and urges Turkish families to embrace three or more children. "One or two (children) is not enough. To make our nation stronger, we need a more dynamic and younger population. We need this to take Turkey above the level of modern civilizations,” Erdogan has said. “In this country, they (opponents) have been engaged in the treason of birth control for years and sought to dry up our generation." Despite this rhetoric, Turkey's fertility rate has declined over the past 20 years, a situation which Erodgan calls "a disaster." Even so, Turkey's population growth continues to outpace that of every large European nation.

A quick look at the statistics shows where this is all heading:

The combined population of the UK, France and Italy in 1926 was about 125 million.
The combined population of Egypt, Iran, and Turkey in 1926 was about 40 million.

Today in 2026, the combined population of the UK France and Italy is about 194 million.
Today in 2026, the combined population of Egypt, Iran, and Turkey is about 289 million.

Those three large European nations had roughly three times the population of those three large Muslim nations, but are now on a trajectory to have half the population in a decade or two.

For an even more stark contrast, Spain currently has a population of about 49 million. The country of Yemen on the Arabian peninsula, by contrast, has a population of 43 million. When The Limits to Growth was written, Yemen had a population of about 8 million.

Keep in mind that these stats do not take into account the large numbers of non-native immigrants living in European countries today, many of whom are Muslim.

Though the West whole-heartedly embraced the ludicrous alarmism of works like The Limits to Growth, the results of this unfathomably foolish strategy do not appear to resemble anything like the envisioned planetary equilibrium.

Meanwhile, the Islamic world has largely rejected the dire warnings of the catastrophists which they categorize correctly as Western imperialism. They are also smart enough to understand that the catastrophist idiocy of the West will be a boon to them in the future. If you doubt that, do a quick search for Islamic scholars and imams who say the quiet parts out loud. Erdogan in Turkey isn't the only one preaching the ultimate Islamic victory via demographics.

As author Mark Steyn says on a regular basis, "The future belongs to those who show up for it."

If you're wondering why the anointed elites in the West are increasingly cozying up to Islam, here is your answer. In their short-sightedness, they believe that they will be able to remain leaders by welcoming and enriching the masses of Islamic newcomers who are surging into Western countries. But our modern anointed ones are as wrong about that as were their intellectual progenitors in The Limits to Growth. What many of them don't realize is that the Great Satan that is frequently denounced by Islamic political and religious leaders is actually them—the Western intellectual class, the political and cultural elite, the ideological colonialists (as Pope Francis called them), the champions of diversity and intersectionality: the soulless secular Left in the West.

The Islamic crocodile won't even do the Western anointed ones the favor of eating them last.

As for the rest of us, it appears that many, even among Catholics, have been taken in by the toxic rhetoric to be found in works like The Limits to Growth. The inevitable result will be less of us, too.

What needs to happen is that the ideological errors which have grown out of works like The Limits to Growth need to be repudiated and discarded by the West immediately.

A return to the philosophy of Humanae Vitae would change everything in a generation.

Pope Francis on Abortion ~ "Abortion is not a lesser evil. It is a crime, it is absolutely evil."

Pope Francis pulls no punches on the subject of abortion.

It can not be denied that the Catholic and secular left love Pope Francis more than any other pope in recent history. For those currently having meltdowns over the possibility that one of the most egregiously awful Supreme Court rulings in American history (Roe v. Wade) may soon be overturned (God willing!), it is perhaps well to reflect on what the Holy Father has had to say about the topic of abortion over the years.

Though it is perhaps not a topic he relishes teaching about, on those occasions when Pope Francis has spoken out against abortion, he does not mince words. Not at all.

Here is a list of his statements against abortion from the beginning of his papacy through very recent days:

  • “Abortion compounds the grief of many women who now carry with them deep physical and spiritual wounds after succumbing to the pressures of a secular culture which devalues God’s gift of sexuality and the right to life of the unborn.” April 26, 2014

  • “Abortion is not a “lesser evil”. It is a crime. It is wiping out one to save another. That is what the mafia does. It is a crime, it is absolutely evil.” February 17, 2016

  • “Before, it was a sin, you couldn’t kill little children, but today you can, it’s not seen as a big deal. It is a perverse new state of affairs.” November 22, 2017

  • “Abortion is never the answer. Human life is sacred and inviolable and the use of prenatal diagnosis for selective purposes must be strongly discouraged, because it is the expression of an inhuman eugenic mentality, which deprives families of the possibility of welcoming, embracing and loving their weakest children.” May 25, 2019

  • "The second problem, that of abortion: it's more than a problem, it's homicide, whoever has an abortion, kills. No mincing words. Take any book on embryology for medical students. The third week after conception, all the organs are already there, even the DNA... it is a human life, this human life must be respected, this principle is so clear! To those who cannot understand, I would ask this question: Is it right to kill a human life to solve a problem? Is it right to hire a hitman to kill a human life? Scientifically, it is a human life. Is it right to take it out to solve a problem? That is why the Church is so harsh on this issue, because if it accepts this, it is as if it accepts daily murder. A Head of State told me that the demographic decline began because in those years there was such a strong law on abortion that six million abortions were performed and this left a decline in births in the society of that country.” September 15, 2021

  • “There is the discarding of children that we do not want to welcome with the law of abortion that sends them to the dispatcher and kills them directly. And today this has become a ‘normal’ method, a practice that is very ugly. It is really murder. Is it right to eliminate, to take a human life to solve a problem? Is it right to hire a hitman to solve a problem? That’s what abortion is.” September 27, 2021

May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire Pope Francis to speak out vigorously and regularly against the atrocity known as human abortion until this barbaric practice is never again considered a legitimate moral "choice" by anyone.

Feminist for Life #1

"The rights of children as individuals begin while yet they remain the foetus." ~Victoria Woodhull in Woodhull and Claflin's newspaper, 1870.

This meme may be shared on Facebook by clicking here.

Victoria Woodhull was an early crusader for women's rights in the United States. Though seriously misguided on a host of moral issues, she yet understood the inherent wickedness of abortion, writing in a later editorial in the same periodical:
"Every one will concede that it is murder to take the life of a human being. But the very pertinent question arises just here, when does human life begin? The beating of the heart, modern science tells us, never begins; that is to say, there is no time in the whole process of the growth of the human body from the moment of conception until death, that pulsations of life are not present in what is to develop into the perfected body. Where, then, shall the line be drawn, on one side of which it shall be murder to cause these pulsations to cease, and upon the other not murder?

...Many women who would be shocked at the very thought of killing their children after birth, deliberately destroy them previously. If there is any difference in the actual crime we should be glad to have those who practice the latter, point it out. The truth of the matter is that it is just as much a murder to destroy life in its embryotic condition, as it is to destroy it after the fully developed form is attained, for it is the self-same life that is taken.

...[T]hey who, having conceived [children] then destroy them, are murderers; and no amount of sophistry nor excuses can, by one iota, mitigate the enormity of the crime. They do even more than murder, they virtually commit suicide, for no woman can practice this crime without in part destroying her own life.

...[W]hile we shall at all times freely discuss the matter, objectively as to its results, we shall not forget to look at the matter subjectively, to find the remedy, which, if we mistake not, is in granting freedom and equality to woman."

Hero of the Culture of Death, Margaret Sanger

This quote is take from Margaret Sanger's 1920 book, Women and the New Race, Chapter 5: The Wickedness of Creating Large Families.

Here are a few more choice tidbits from that particular chapter:
The most serious evil of our times is that of encouraging the bringing into the world of large families. The most immoral practice of the day is breeding too many children...
...Let it be remembered that bearing and rearing six or eight children to-day is a far different matter from what it was in the generations just preceding. Physically and nervously, the woman of to-day is not fitted to bear children as frequently as was her mother and her mother’s mother....
...The immorality of bringing into being a large family is a wrong-doing shared by three—the mother, the father and society. Upon all three falls the burden of guilt. It may be said for the mother and father that they are usually ignorant. What shall be said of society? What shall be said of us who permit outworn laws and customs to persist in piling up the appalling sum of public expense, misery and spiritual degradation? The indictment against the large unwanted family is written in human woe.
Interestingly if not ironically, Margaret Higgins Sanger was the sixth of eleven children.

Augustine on contraception and abortion

I just found this today on NewAdvent.com. Posting here for future reference:
Chapter 17 [XV.]— What is Sinless in the Use of Matrimony? What is Attended With Venial Sin, and What with Mortal?

It is, however, one thing for married persons to have intercourse only for the wish to beget children, which is not sinful: it is another thing for them to desire carnal pleasure in cohabitation, but with the spouse only, which involves venial sin. For although propagation of offspring is not the motive of the intercourse, there is still no attempt to prevent such propagation, either by wrong desire or evil appliance. They who resort to these, although called by the name of spouses, are really not such; they retain no vestige of true matrimony, but pretend the honourable designation as a cloak for criminal conduct.

Having also proceeded so far, they are betrayed into exposing their children, which are born against their will. They hate to nourish and retain those whom they were afraid they would beget. This infliction of cruelty on their offspring so reluctantly begotten, unmasks the sin which they had practised in darkness, and drags it clearly into the light of day. The open cruelty reproves the concealed sin.

Sometimes, indeed, this lustful cruelty, or, if you please, cruel lust, resorts to such extravagant methods as to use poisonous drugs to secure barrenness; or else, if unsuccessful in this, to destroy the conceived seed by some means previous to birth, preferring that its offspring should rather perish than receive vitality; or if it was advancing to life within the womb, should be slain before it was born. Well, if both parties alike are so flagitious, they are not husband and wife; and if such were their character from the beginning, they have not come together by wedlock but by debauchery. But if the two are not alike in such sin, I boldly declare either that the woman is, so to say, the husband's harlot; or the man the wife's adulterer.
From Augustine's On Marriage and Concupiscence (Book I)

God bless Alveda King

There's at least one member of MLK's family that got some of the slain civil rights leader's courage.

Alveda King placed 1,400 flowers in front of the White House today, in honor of the estimated 1,400 Black babies that will be slaughtered today thanks to legalized abortion. In a LifeSite News article, King was quoted as saying:
"Over 45 years ago, my Uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote from a Birmingham jail cell that ‘[i]njustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ Today, there is no greater injustice than that suffered by the 4,000 babies, 1,400 of them black, who die on any given day at the hands of abortionists."
Ms. King has put her finger on a issue that many in the major media, and even in the so-called Conservative media, won't touch with a 20-foot pole--the connection between abortion, racism, and the suppression of minority groups.

When it is mentioned at all, this subject is usually presented by abortion advocates in coded language, i.e., "If not for abortion, crime would be way up." But I got to witness the reality of the situation close up yesterday while praying in front of an abortion mill. The clinic, located in a predominantly wealthy White suburb was doing a brisk business. And of the 20 or so cars that I saw entering and leaving the parking lot, only a single one had White people inside it. The rest were piloted by various members of the 'rainbow coalition'--the majority were Black. Does this happen by accident? I don't think so.

The irony that the first Black president is also the most pro-abortion president in history could not be more tragic. His policies will directly encourage more people of his race to destroy their own children. I pray that my Black brothers and sisters in Christ will open their eyes to this hideous fraud.

Abortion not linked with depression?

A news article is floating around today claiming that there is no link between abortion and depression:
A team at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore reviewed 21 studies involving more than 150,000 women and found the high-quality studies showed no significant differences in long-term mental health between women who choose to abort a pregnancy and others.

"The best research does not support the existence of a 'post-abortion syndrome' similar to post-traumatic stress disorder," Dr. Robert Blum, who led the study published in the journal Contraception, said in a statement.
Worse, the academics behind this article simply declare that evidence to the contrary is "low quality" and "politically motivated."

How about a little transference with your baloney sandwich?

But hey, maybe these clowns are on to something. There may be less evidence of depression among post-abort women because many of these poor totured souls opt to commit suicide instead.

Suicides after pregnancy in Finland, 1987-94: register linkage study

Here's the money quote from this article:
The mean annual suicide rate was 11.3 per 100 000. The suicide rate associated with birth was significantly lower (5.9) and the rates associated with miscarriage (18.1) and induced abortion (34.7) were significantly higher than in the population.
I reckon this is one of those "low quality" studies Dr. Blum was referring to above.

Wouldn't it be nice if the medical and mental health communities got back into the business of actually helping people and not making immoral, counter-intuitive or just obviously wrong political statements?

No freedom of choice for Catholics -- Why FOCA is evil

FOCA, the so-called "Freedom of Choice Act" is anything but.

This wicked bill will immediately declare all reasonable restraints on abortion (the killing of a baby in the womb) null and void. Gone will be any common sense limits passed by voters in the individual states on partial-birth abortion, parental notification for abortions performed on children under the age of 18, and most ominously of all, the ability of pro-life physicians and medical personnel to opt out of performing abortions for reasons of conscience.

This bill is anti-Democratic, anti-American, and supremely evil. Catholic bishops in the US are already threatening to close hospitals rather than comply with this act. Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Chicago made the following statement regarding FOCA:

"There are grave consequences. If Catholic hospitals were required by federal law to perform abortions, we'd have to close our hospitals."

Nearly 100 Catholic bishops across America are echoing these words.

We should all keep in mind that nearly 1/3 of our nation's hospitals are Catholic-run. Can you imagine the crisis that closing even a fraction of these hospitals would cause?

FOCA must be defeated. Urge president-elect Obama to denounce the bill in no uncertain terms.

Bishop: No Catholic can Vote for Barack Obama in Good Conscience

Here's an ad from a very courageous Bishop, his excellency, Rene Gracida.

The text of the ad is as follows:
This is Bishop Rene H. Gracida, reminding all Catholics that they must vote in this election with an informed conscience. A Catholic cannot be said to have voted in this election with a good conscience if they have voted for a pro-abortion candidate. Barack Hussein Obama is a pro-abortion candidate.
The ad is also available on YouTube in Spanish.

Please forward this ad to every Catholic you know. It took a lot of courage for Bishop Gracida to say this so forcefully. Please remember him in your prayers.

Alveda King, Niece of Martin Luther King Jr., endorses McCain-Palin

The following is taken from an article in today's Philadelphia Bulletin:
"I am very excited about the McCain-Palin ticket, simply because they support the values that mean the most to me," Ms. King said. "It is a plus to me that Sarah Palin is a woman because I've been elected to office as a wife and mother. I've been appointed to office as a woman and at the time I was a mother and became a grandmother."

Ms. King said her experience taught her she could both be a good mother and still serve the public. This is something she has in common with Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, McCain's running mate.

However, the most important reason she is backing the McCain-Palin ticket is its commitment to the pro-life cause.

McCain/Palin in 2008

Love him or hate him, John McCain has run an outstanding campaign for president. His winning streak continued today when he picked Sarah Palin to be his VP nominee. Based on the little I know about Governor Palin, she seems like an outstanding selection. She's a former athlete, mayor, and the governor of Alaska for the past two years. She's also the mother of five kids, the youngest of whom, four-month old Trig, is a Downs baby. Considering that it is estimated that 90% of Downs babies are killed in utero by their mothers, Palin's decision to carry Trig to term is a flesh-and-blood testimony to her pro-life credentials.

Thank God! Apparently the life issue isn't above Sarah Palin's pay grade. Contrast that with the attitude of Mr. Obama on the value of children:

The contrast is indeed shocking.

God bless Senator McCain and Governor Palin! On to victory!

On Human Life

A fantastic feature appeared in the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin last week on the war between the Culture of Life and the Culture of Death in the world today. I have only skimmed a few of the articles, but they have been excellent and they contain information that EVERYONE needs to read, especially Catholics.

Obama on Abortion

Here's the first in a sequence of graphics I'm working on to help shine the light on Barack Obama's empty rhetoric of "Change" and "Hope." In reality, his idea of change is the same snake-oil the hard left has been selling since the New Deal almost 80 years ago.

On the topic of abortion, Obama may be the most anti-life candidate ever to win a major party's nomination. Recall that he considers babies to be "punishments." He should get ZERO pro-life votes.

Abortion and mental illness at Yale

File this under: "How sick can our society get?" An art student at Yale has apparently artificially inseminated herself and then taken abortifacient drugs to produce miscarriage. Not once. Not twice. But multiple times. Why? Here's the kicker...

For an art project!

Don't believe me? Here are the money quotes from the story in the Yale Daily News entitled For senior, abortion a medium for art, political discourse:
Art major Aliza Shvarts '08 wants to make a statement.

Beginning next Tuesday, Shvarts will be displaying her senior art project, a documentation of a nine-month process during which she artificially inseminated herself "as often as possible" while periodically taking abortifacient drugs to induce miscarriages. Her exhibition will feature video recordings of these forced miscarriages as well as preserved collections of the blood from the process....

The "fabricators," or donors, of the sperm were not paid for their services, but Shvarts required them to periodically take tests for sexually transmitted diseases. She said she was not concerned about any medical effects the forced miscarriages may have had on her body. The abortifacient drugs she took were legal and herbal, she said, and she did not feel the need to consult a doctor about her repeated miscarriages.

Shvarts declined to specify the number of sperm donors she used, as well as the number of times she inseminated herself....

"I believe strongly that art should be a medium for politics and ideologies, not just a commodity," Shvarts said. "I think that I'm creating a project that lives up to the standard of what art is supposed to be."

The display of Schvarts' project will feature a large cube suspended from the ceiling of a room in the gallery of Green Hall. Schvarts will wrap hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting around this cube; lined between layers of the sheeting will be the blood from Schvarts' self-induced miscarriages mixed with Vaseline in order to prevent the blood from drying and to extend the blood throughout the plastic sheeting.

Schvarts will then project recorded videos onto the four sides of the cube. These videos, captured on a VHS camcorder, will show her experiencing miscarriages in her bathrooom tub, she said. Similar videos will be projected onto the walls of the room.
What else can I say? This young woman is clearly mentally ill. What is most shocking is that there are no adults left on Yale's campus to denounce this vile, ghoulish exhibit, and recommend Ms. Schvarts to the counseling she so desperately needs. Indeed, as this is an art project, we must assume that somewhere, a member of Yale's faculty actually sanctioned it!

What this young woman did isn't art. It's a crime against humanity.

Pray for her. Pray for our country.

I love my five punishments

Earlier this month, presidential candidate Barack Obama said the following:
When it comes specifically to HIV/AIDS, the most important prevention is education, which should include -- which should include abstinence education and teaching the children -- teaching children, you know, that sex is not something casual. But it should also include -- it should also include other, you know, information about contraception because, look, I've got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby.
Can you believe this guy?

Hey, Barry. I've got five kids. They are blessings from God, not punishments.

And just today, Obama claimed that no one, not even him, is pro-abortion. Really? Is that why Mr. Obama has managed to compile the most pro-baby-killing record in the U.S. Senate and has been given a 100% rating by the National Abortion Rights Action League?

This guy is a world-class liar and phony. Next to him, McCain looks like St. Francis of Assisi.

Babies are now "pathological waste"...

A truly sickening article appeared on CNS News--Human Remains Found in Dumpster of Abortion Clinic. Here are some quotes:
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the Lathrup Village (Mich.) Police Department are investigating the contents of a dumpster behind the WomanCare abortion clinic where body parts of aborted babies, bio-hazardous materials and patients' medical records were found earlier this month.
Did you catch the "new speak" here? A facility where mothers have their healthy, pre-natal children killed, ripped out, and thrown in a dumpster is called "WomanCare".
"I was aware of the reality of abortion, but it was unnerving," Police Sgt. Vincent Lynch said of viewing the evidence, adding that "intact fetuses" were among the debris.
More evidence that the "abortion is legal and therefore acceptable to a civilized society" brainwashing can be neutralized so easily by just being forced to see what abortion actually is.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will decide if the improper disposal of "pathological waste" at the Lathrup Village clinic violates civil or administrative statues, according to Robert McCann, press secretary for the state agency.
This "doctor" sliced and diced healthy babies and threw them in the trash, and all the government can ring him up for is "improper disposal of "pathological waste." Truly pathetic.
Miller and other activists transported contents from dumpsters to her home where they sorted and videotaped the contents of black plastic bags, which included syringes, bloody suction canulas, condoms, plastic gloves and human arms, spinal columns and fully-formed hands the size of a ballpoint pen tip.
The debris of the Culture of Death laid out for all to see.
Since the late 1980s, Miller has helped bury thousands of aborted babies. She said she marks the tombstones of the common graves with the words, "Holy Innocents of God," includes the date the remains of the unborn were recovered, and includes a verse from the Bible from the book of Jeremiah, The Lord says, 'A sound is heard in Ramah, a sound of crying in bitter grief. It is the sound of Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are gone.'"
That about says it all. We live in a country where innocent babies are killed and stuffed in dumpsters--and it's legal.

Barack Obama -- Messiah for the Culture of Death

Here are Barack Obama's own words on the subject of abortion:
"Throughout my career, I've been a consistent and strong supporter of reproductive justice, and have consistently had a 100% pro-choice rating with Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America. When South Dakota passed a law banning all abortions in a direct effort to have Roe overruled, I was the only candidate for President to raise money to help the citizens of South Dakota repeal that law. When anti-choice protesters blocked the opening of an Illinois Planned Parenthood clinic in a community where affordable health care is in short supply, I was the only candidate for President who spoke out against it. And I will continue to defend this right by passing the Freedom of Choice Act as president."
There's more at the link, but this should tell you all you need to know.

No Catholic in good conscience can vote for Mr. Obama. His stance on abortion is truly an "obamination."
